As a rostered clinician in the great State of North Carolina, I believe that it is my individual purpose to provide treatment opportunities that are customized for everyone that we encounter. I serve as clinician, supervisor, educator, coach, sports mom, and small business mentor. However, I am purposed to serve in humility. In whatever capacity, it is my assignment to provide an atmosphere that renders a safe environment for individuals and families to heal, be restored, and to flourish. I believe in offering an individualized approach to assist in the process of working towards the outcome that is in alignment with the purpose of those that I have been allowed to serve.
As a clinician, I see obstacles as merely opportunities for mankind to enhance, evolve, and excel in a place of purpose. The greatest gifts can be wrapped in challenges. Challenge can have the face of many things. Regardless of the hurdle, it takes strength to approach the process of inner healing.
I've worked with children, adolescents, and adults twenty + years in the capacity of case management, crisis intervention family counseling, Christian based volunteering, community and individualized therapy, women’s prison ministry, veteran services, and served as coach for several athletes to enhance emotional intelligence.
I specialize in addressing concerns centered around trauma, grief, loss, family systems, and life changes. My theoretical framework is based primarily upon CBT, Individual Psychology, and Family Systems. I am a rostered TF-CBT clinician and have extensive experience in trauma work. I also have experience in Written Exposure Therapy as well as Trauma Intensive Comprehensive Clinical Assessments in the state of North Carolina. I have been graced to serve as a First Responder to survivors of Hurricane Katrina and Helene. In addition, I am not only a survivor of the COVID 19 pandemic. However, I am a greater servant because of that experience as a clinician.
I believe that everyone has an individual function and purpose in life. Again, my purpose is to support others in their journey for now and legacies to come. I believe in being a generational game changer and creator. There is no individual greater than the other. We are all called to be a conduit of growth, one to another.
